The Jackson Cook Story
After World War II, Robert L. Jackson returned home to Tallahassee and founded Jackson’s Welding and Machine Shop in 1942. The shop quickly became highly respected in Tallahassee and the surrounding area for its quality craftsmanship and personal service.
Robert’s son Richard joined the business, and along with his partner, Clarence Cook, purchased the business in 1962. After renaming to Jackson Cook, the two partners set out to grow and expand the business.
More than 75 years later, what was once a small, local machine shop is now an expansive construction services business working with clients across the southeast, offering a wide range of services such as steel fabrication and erection, crane services, rigging, and welding.
